Neguvon is a soluble powder, that can be used directly to water and it is highly effective against crustacean ectoparasites and some monogeneans (flat worms). The active ingredient is Trichlorofon. All living things have parasites. When fish are healthy, the parasites co-exist peacefully on the fish. However, when the fish are stressed due to weather changes or stress, then the numbers of parasites may increase to uncontrollable levels. When a fish has too many parasites, these parasites often puncture/ bite the epidermis and can cause massive injuries. Once the protective outer layer has been penetrated, the fish are now vulnerable to bacterial, fungal and viral infections. One way to prevent secondary bacterial, fungal or viral infections is to ensure that the protective skin of the fish is not compromised. Thus using a anti-parasite (Neguvon) is recommended on a regular basis particularly when culturing fish enmass.
DOSAGE:
Neguvon is used to treat of the bellow mention ectoparasite, use 0.2-0.5mg per liter of water: Argulus, Lerneae, Ichthyopthirus, Chillodonella,Dactylogyrus, Gyrodactylus. For the treatment of the parasite Trichodina, use 2mg per liter of water. If the parasite infestation is prevalent, repeat between 1-3 weeks for two to three treatments,
For control of vectors and disease carriers in shrimp ponds, during pond preparation, use 1gm in 1ton of water and spread evenly in pond water. Shrimp is only to be added into the pond at the end of the 12thday. Do not use Neguvon during shrimp culture period.
